Ignatian Day with the Migrants

On July 30th, St. Ignatius of Loyola Founder’s Day was commemorated with a heartwarming event that brought together 30 Homeless migrants at Loyola shelter home in Jai Nagar at Chennai. Mr. Venkatesh the shelter home coordinator and Mr. Shankar organized the event .The occasion was graced by distinguished guests, including Rev. Fr. Poondi Rajan S.J. and representatives from Greater Chennai Corporation Nulm-Suh scheme, namely Associate Coordinator Mr. Rajesh (Central Region), Rev. Fr. Packiaraj S.J, Rev. Fr. Alex Chinna S.J, and Office Coordinator Ms. Nandini.

The centerpiece of the gathering was the enlightening discourse delivered by the esteemed Chief Guest, who eloquently delved into the life of Saint Ignatius, highlighting his immense contributions to society and the profound importance of Loyola Institutions. His speech resonated with the participants , leaving them inspired by Ignatius’ enduring vision.

Throughout the event, the participants had the opportunity to learn about the founder’s life and teachings, deepening their understanding of his legacy. As the day concluded, thoughtful gifts were distributed to the migrants who participated in this event, spreading joy and appreciation among all the participants. It was an unforgettable celebration, filled with gratitude and camaraderie.
